From Experience to Excellence: Jean de Dieu’s Vision for a United and Powerful IER

Jean de Dieu Twambazimana is a registered professional civil engineer and an active member of the Institute of Engineering Rwanda (IER), bringing over 10 years of proven experience in construction supervision, project coordination, and infrastructure development. Holding a BSc in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Environmental and Development Studies, he has contributed to impactful projects across Rwanda, including modern market facilities and major civil works. With a strong professional foundation that includes experience as a former technician at IRPV and his current role at Engineering Supply and Construction Company (ESUCON) Ltd, he is committed to delivering safe, high-quality, and timely infrastructure solutions.

As a candidate for Member of the Governing Council of IER, Jean de Dieu is driven by a clear vision: to build a stronger, more innovative, and united engineering community. If elected, he pledges to promote a professional, inclusive, and forward-looking IER that serves all members while strengthening the engineering profession in Rwanda and beyond. His leadership is grounded in ethical practice, continuous professional development, and a passion for empowering the next generation of engineers.

His priorities focus on key pillars that matter most to the engineering community: capacity building through continuous professional development, upholding ethics and professional standards, empowering youth through mentorship, fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and government, and ensuring transparency and inclusivity in governance.
